Meeting these targets proved challenging in Tele2's fast-paced environment, coupled with the adjustment period needed for teams from different organizations to synchronize. Gean proved to be a designer capable of taking a leadership role to ensure the seamless design, production, and shipment of new products in collaboration with various stakeholders.
RESULT
Gean managed to meet and exceed targets by producing design that got applied into the different parts of the organization. Two of the services he was the lead designer for were; a consumer data usage visualization site, and the first version of a self-help wizard. This was both for the responsive web and app. He also managed and conducted several user tests, for both his own projects and for his design peers and product owners.
Internal taxation tool for case workers
SAAS Desktop
CHALLENGE
At the Swedish Tax Agency, Gean designed a crucial internal tool that transformed and enhanced how caseworkers analyze taxpayer histories. The system needed to present complex, multi-period data in an accessible format that would support informed taxation decisions.Given the tool's intended daily use by caseworkers, achieving a pleasant user experience was imperative, while striking a delicate balance between innovative interaction design and adhering to established internal work habits and conventions.
APPROACH
To foster transparency, synchronization, and knowledge-sharing within the team and with stakeholders, Gean leveraged the three key phases of the design process: listen, explore, and simplify. The initial listening phase involved gathering information, understanding the needs of the organization, and delving into the perspective of the end-user. Through meetings, workshops, and interviews, comprehensive insights were obtained to paint a vivid picture of current work processes. Multiple user journeys were crafted to map, illustrate, and document the existing status quo. These activities not only shed light on the caseworker's work routines and pain points but also highlighted potential opportunities.
Building on these insights, the exploring phase aimed to innovate and devise novel solutions that directly addressed the earlier identified requirements. The new perspectives gained during the listening phase played a crucial role in informing and enriching the UX work during the exploration phase. In this phase, the objective was to foster innovation and devise fresh solutions that directly addressed the newly identified requirements. Facilitated by Gean, knowledge sharing and co-creation sessions were conducted with users and stakeholders through workshops and design studios. These collaborative efforts materialized various concepts, ideas, and solutions, employing the art of prototyping. The resulting prototypes were subsequently benchmarked through user testing. In the final phase, simplify, the primary focus was on consolidating and packaging the most promising concept into a high-definition prototype. Gean orchestrated the refinement and tuning of the prototype to simulate additional real-life use cases. Features, including system messages, feedback, and loading screens, were integrated into the prototype to aid the requirement analysis and support the development team in their ongoing efforts.
RESULT
Gean's contribution to the project had a profound impact on various fronts. Primarily, his involvement facilitated enhanced client understanding of the product, leading to more informed and expedited decision-making processes, ultimately benefiting all stakeholders. Furthermore, subjecting the product's design to multiple user testing and evaluation sessions facilitated a seamless alignment between the new tool, business requirements, and end-user needs. The resulting end product now offers a simplified representation of the organizational complexity. Anticipating further iterations and features, the project remains on an evolving trajectory.

Swiss physiotherapy service
Responsive web
CHALLENGE
The Swiss physiotherapy center sought to modernize their digital presence after their existing website failed to effectively convert potential patients. The main issues were unclear service information and an outdated design, leading to excessive pre-consultation inquiries.
APPROACH
To understand the core issues, Gean conducted stakeholder interviews, focusing particularly on healthcare professionals' daily patient interactions. This research revealed key insights about patient needs and information gaps. Armed with these findings, he developed mood boards to align the visual direction and restructured the content architecture to clearly communicate services and pricing. The primary goal was to create a seamless journey for patients to understand available treatments, costs, and how to connect with the right specialist.
RESULT
The redesigned website delivers a modern, user-friendly experience accessible across all devices. It effectively serves both doctor-referred patients and the general Swiss public, with clear pathways to essential information and services. The new information architecture significantly reduces pre-consultation queries by providing upfront answers to common patient questions.

Success requires deep understanding of both traffic dynamics and organizational processes due to complex system architecture, multiple contractual obligations, various operational dependencies. These factors make informed decision-making crucial for effective traffic management. For the new system and UX to meet these standars, Nobina hired Gean for the assignment of designing a better version.
APPROACH
In a conventional Scrum framework, alongside collaborative decision-making within a cross-functional team, Gean spearheaded the development of the new software design. Gean took charge of generating concepts, prototypes, and visual guidelines for the innovative system. A paramount focus was placed on comprehending the end-user, who occupies a central role in the company's core operations.Gean meticulously planned and executed interviews, observations, and user testing sessions. The outcomes not only guided the team towards pertinent features and user stories for development but also provided deeper insights for the organization to understand the project and its potential opportunities.
RESULT
Employing the "listen, explore, and simplify" method, Gean's project efforts resulted in a refined and improved roadmap for the system. The project unfolded with new content in the form of sketches, prototypes, and requirements, iteratively refined through the design process. This collective material embodies the essence of the new and enhanced system. This approach facilitated the team in adding stories to the backlog, prioritizing tasks, and ultimately developing a MVP. Additionally, it enabled the organization to identify and highlight shared challenges and opportunities throughout the organization.
Video dating app
Android & IOS app
CHALLENGE
While online dating has become the primary way people find partners in the Western world, Sparks core feature takes a new and welcomed approach. Unlike traditional dating apps that rely on photo-based swiping, Sparks begins with brief video conversations between potential matches. Only when both parties express interest does the chat feature unlock, enabling further communication. This innovative approach was born from extensive research into modern dating frustrations. Traditional dating apps often lead to disappointing experiences: mismatched expectations, time consuming bad dates, and increasingly, feelings of disillusionment and anxiety among users. Sparks aims to create more meaningful connections by letting personalities shine through from the very first interaction.
APPROACH
Gean led the end-to-end design process, starting with comprehensive user research to inform the final product. His methodology combined in-depth one-on-one interviews with the target audience and broader quantitative research across different geographical regions. This dual approach provided rich insights into how people navigate and experience modern dating. In the definition phase, Gean synthesized the research data to create user journeys, identifying key pain points and opportunities for innovation. These insights formed the foundation for the solution's design direction. Using Figma, he then developed a totally new brand and look and feel of the application. He crafted wireframes and interactive prototypes that brought the new dating experience to life, ensuring each feature addressed specific user needs uncovered during research.
RESULT
Currently in pre-launch phase, the application continues to evolve as the startup secures additional funding. The team is conducting further technical research while developing their marketing strategy and prioritizing key features for the initial release. This strategic approach ensures a strong market entry that aligns with user needs and business objectives.
